Hello, I’m Albert Taylor, an actor and model living in New York City.

My journey in the acting and modeling professions began in the 1980s when I temporarily relocated to Paris. During my 4 years there, I modeled for a host of designers, including Patrick Kelly, Givenchy, Paco Rabbane, Lecoanet Hemant and Bjorn Borg Sportswear. I also appeared in print and commercial advertising for L’Oreal Paris, BNP Paribas and Mal de Beouf, a haircare product marketed in the Caribbean and was featured in the film Glamour, a Francoise Merlet production. One of the highlights of my career during that period was working with one of my childhood idols, Eartha Kitt, where I was featured in the music video of her international hit, I Love Men. In addition to acting and modeling, I began to sing, working as a studio backup singer for Al Douglas, an English Producer, Singer/Songwriter.

When I returned to New York City, I enriched my vocal technique by working with Therman Bailey and sharpened my acting skills at HB Studios. I appeared in one-man shows at Cafe Metropolis, Nells, Sweetwaters, and the West Bank Cafe. My acting credits include the off-Broadway productions of the King & Me, Macbeth, Antigone, the Raft of the Medusa and the Color of God, as well as the independent features Joe’s Story and Black is White, White is Black.

Returning to the arts is the fulfillment of a long-held desire!

Thereafter, I embarked on a technology-oriented career path at the law firm Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman where I recently retired. Still, I remained actively involved in the arts, continuing my vocal lessons, acting studies and occasional performances.

I am excited to begin a new chapter of my journey: the full-time pursuit of acting, modeling and performing opportunities, and I look forward to working with you!
